Cyber-Bullying Resources
With the birth of the Internet and the ease of social media, texting, and the use of assorted electronic devices, cyber-bullying has become an enormous problem. Cyber-bullying affects boys, girls, and cuts across all ethnic and socioeconomic groups. According to the Cyberbullying Research Center (in the US), 25 to 50 percent of all teens are victims of cyber-bullying. Even more distressing, 1 in 10 adolescents avoid informing parents if they are victims of a cyberbully, and less than 1 in 5 incidents of cyber-bullying are brought to the attention of authorities.
Here are some of my tips against cyber-bullying, featured on the Motherhood Moment parenting blog.
